Janet Louise Lunn (née Swoboda) (natural December 28, 1928) is a Canadian children's writer.

Natural inside Dallas, Texas, she moved with her personal to Vermont when she was an infant. Inside 1938, she moved again to the fringe of New York, New York. Inside 1946, she came to Canada to attend Queen’s University and married a fellow student, Richard Lunn. She became the American citizen within 1963. It experienced 5 kids & her married man died within 1987.

She published her number 1 babies's book, Double Spell, inside 1968. From either 1972 to 1975, she was a children’s editor for Clark, Irwin Publishers.

From either 1984 to 1985, she was the number 1 youngsters's creator to exist as Chair of the Writers' Union of Canada

Within 1982, she was awarded the Vicky Metcalf Award. Within 1997, she was made the Member of the Order of Canada. She was awarded a Order of Ontario in 1996.
